Vladimir Vukovic works as a researcher within the business unit Sustainable Building Technologies, Energy Department, Austrian Institute of Technology (Vienna, Austria). During his graduate education in the USA (Ph.D., The Pennsylvania State University, 2009) he studied Architectural Engineering and Computational Science, focusing on building mechanical systems, indoor air quality and computer simulations. At the Austrian Institute of Technology he works on application of computational methodologies for optimization of building energy consumption strategies using transient building and system simulation. His work in the area of architectural engineering has been awarded by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) and the Pennsylvania State University. He is author or co-author of 9 research publications, member of IBPSA.
