LBNL received ARRA funding in 2010 for the construction of a series of new experimental testbeds, for use by research staff, industry users, and collaborations with other industry partners (e.g. utilities, universities, etc.). The testbeds will be available to provide research into integrated low energy strategies for commercial buildings, which may include facades, lighting, daylighting, plug loads, controls, and HVAC. A series of up to 8 new testbeds will be constructed outside Building 90, and a few spaces in Building 90 will be retrofit for interior studies (e.g. controls hardware, visualization, virtual design, plug loads, etc.). This seminar will provide an update on the design status of the project, an overview of the parameters of the testbeds in design, and outline needs for research staff input into the design and usage of the facilities, including industry partnership development. Your input is welcome and appreciated!
