Wildland Fires and LBNL

October 5, 2006 - 12:00pm

This seminar will begin with a viewing of the film "May I Have Your Attention, Please", the 10-minute LBNL video about the wildland fire risk here in the east bay hills. Gary will then speak about the history of wildfires in this area, and about LBNL’s fire mitigation efforts since the Oakland-Berkeley Hills Firestorm which took place in October of 1991. Tips to help you stay safe during a fire will be offered, as well as information about fire safety issues specific to building 90. If you’ve ever wondered or worried about what you should do if a fire approaches the Lab, this is one seminar you should not miss.
