NSF Funding Opportunities for Educational Activities

November 20, 2001 - 12:00pm
Bldg. 90

Roland J. Otto will discuss new opportunities for funding from the National Science Foundation to bring together undergraduates and faculty members from NSF-sponsored colleges and universities to conduct research at Berkeley Lab.  Researchers at Department of Energy national laboratories may now draw on NSF programs collectively funded at more than $100 million for this purpose.   Following his talk, the Environmental Energy Technologies Division's three Outstanding Mentors of 2001 will discuss their experiences as mentors. EETD researchers provided 19 mentors to the year 2001 mentoring program, the most of any Division.  For more information about the Center for Science and Engineering Education, please visit this website:   http://www.lbl.gov/Education/CSEE/
