Wei Feng's research focuses on building energy efficiency, Chinese commercial building energy retrofit modeling, building energy simulation, distributed and renewable energy systems application in buildings, prototypical building energy models development and modeling for China. He also focuses on China’s building energy efficiency policy for both commercial/public and residential buildings, building codes and standards, Green building standards and international comparison, and codes compliance building energy research.

Wei Feng has been working in building energy efficiency area since 2003. Prior to joining China Energy Group, he worked in Chinese building systems control industry focusing on building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.) control for energy efficiency, Building Energy Management System (BEMS), system integrations, and energy performance measurement, monitoring, diagnosis and commissioning. In the U.S., his previous research interests include developing combined heat, moisture and pollutant transport models for whole building performance analysis, building energy modeling and simulation, indoor environmental quality measurement and modeling etc.

Wei Feng got his BS and MS degree in Electrical Control Engineering in Tongji University, specialized in building automation control, commissioning and performance monitoring. And he did his Ph.D. research in Syracuse University (NY) on building energy and environmental systems.

Wei Feng received several rewards and scholarship from industries and organizations, such as SIEMENS Building Technology (China) Excellent Awards Scholarship and ASHRAE Student Scholar Grant-In Fund, for his research and contributions in Building Energy Efficiency fields.
