Dr. Vi Rapp is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cookstove group and Residential Building Systems group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She is currently conducting research on developing advanced biomass cookstoves for the developing world, improving combustion safety diagnostics for energy efficient homes, and investigating efficient, low emissions technologies for combustion appliances and small engine applications. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley with a focus on internal combustion engines and received her M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
