Samantha Weaver is a Senior Research Associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group. Samantha conducts research on state and federal renewable energy policy, as well as data collection and analysis of wind and solar cost, performance, and pricing trends.
Prior to joining LBNL, Samantha served as an analyst at IHS Emerging Energy Research, where she advised utilities and energy developers regarding policy and market dynamics within the North American renewable energy industry. Previously, she supported wind resource assessments and feasibility studies as a Data Analyst at DNV Renewables (now DNV GL).
Samantha holds an MA in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University, where her research focused on modeling "green job" potential in coal-dependent states. She received a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Kalamazoo College in Michigan.
