Naoya Motegi is a building energy engineer at Energy Solution Group, Environmental Engineering Department of the Takenaka Corporation. Takenaka Corporation is one of the biggest architecture, engineering and construction firms in Japan. He specializes in energy saving and demand response solutions for commercial and industrial buildings. Naoya is a former LBNL senior research associate, worked at Building Technologies Department, EETD until 2007. While at EETD, he worked on the automated demand response pilot studies at California IOUs. Naoya has a degree in Architecture from Waseda University (Japan), and a M.S. in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley.
