Mark Hydeman, PE is a Principal at Taylor Engineering, a mechanical consulting firm that specializes in the energy efficient and cost effective design and commissioning of HVAC and control systems for commercial buildings. Mark has over 15 years of design experience with particular expertise in the optimization of chilled water plants and commissioning of control systems. Recent projects include the integration of controls for Oracle\'s Headquarters in Redwood Shores, a 30 year master plan for the central control system and heating/cooling plant serving 35 State buildings in Sacramento, HVAC and controls design and commissioning for a 20,000 ft2 data center for Symantec in Tucson Arizona and an energy conserving mechanical and controls retrofit of Keck Laboratory in Stanford. In addition to design, Mark is an active participant in building science research and the development of energy codes.
