Kyu Taek Cho worked as a senior researcher in Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea to develop fuel cell stacks for automotive application for around 10 years, and he continued on fuel cell research to obtain a Ph.D. for the study of multiphase porous media flow from Pennstate University.  In LBNL, he has been working as a Principal Research Associate to develop a cost-effective flow battery system by utilizing hydrogen and bromine as redox couple since 2010.
