Judy Lai is a Principal Research Associate in the Grid Integration Group (GIG). She is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data, e.g., data on utility tariffs and structures, installed building equipment, Energy Star technologies, emerging DER technologies, and cap and trade. In addition to contributing to publications and presentations, Judy also provides technical and editing assistance to the multi-cultural group of researchers. She is also responsible for maintaining the website for the microgrid team (http://microgrid.lbl.gov) and helping to organize the annual Symposium on Microgrids. 

Prior to being an analyst, Judy was a Radiance modeler (http://radiance-online.org/) working with the commercial buildings group where her simulation projects included the National Air and Space Museum and the New York Times Building.
