Jonathan Wright is Professor of Building Optimization in the Building Energy Research Group at Loughborough University (UK). He has over 30 years research experience in model-based optimization and its application to the design and operation of buildings. He has been principle investigator on several funded research grants in the field of building optimization, including the first high-risk project to be awarded by ASHRAE (on the use of optimization methods to synthesize novel HVAC system configurations). He has recently been the research lead on a UK Government funded project aimed at implementing model-based optimization methods in commercially available building performance simulation software.
