John Mejia is a Program Manager for the Environmental Energy Technologies Division’s Commercial Building Systems Group. His current focus is on supporting commercial building research improvements from inception through completion. John’s primary focus is the commercial building energy efficiency research for the DOE Commercial Building Performance Database project, the Building Energy Data Exchange Specification (BEDES) project, the Standard Energy Efficiency Data Platform program and operational management for the FLEXLAB (Facility for Low Energy eXperiments) building technologies research facility.
Before joining LBNL, John was a program manager with Pacific Gas and Electric Company in the Emerging Technologies division to complete emerging technologies projects that provide energy efficiency savings for PG&E’s customers. Prior to PG&E, John’s experience included work on natural gas programs and distributed generation projects. John received his B.A. in Journalism and Political Science at the California State University, Sacramento. He is a PMP certified professional.
