Howard Chong is an assistant professor of sustainability and economics at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and has worked at the Energy Institute at Haas. His current focus is on the market barriers for residential energy efficiency, especially issues of risk and uncertainty. His past research included studies of energy use in buildings of different ages, the impact of carbon markets on firms, and water markets. He is a faculty fellow at Cornell's Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future.
