Gurkan Kumbaroglu has a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering, earned in 2001 from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. He has been working at CEPE for the last 15 months and recently joined the International Energy Studies Group at EETD to participate in research until December 12th, 2002. He will return to Turkey to pursue his academic career at the Bosphorus University in Istanbul. His research interests include all kinds of energy and economic modeling.
