Donald Mauritz is a Principal Research Associate in the Building Technologies and Urban Systems (BTUS) Division. He leads the energy-use analysis and technical support aspects of SFO’s sustainable acquisition project.
Don’s work directly supports the Federal Energy FEMP’s Energy Efficient Product Procurement program to implement the Executive Orders, legislation and Federal Acquisition Regulations requiring government agencies to purchase energy efficient and water conserving products. His analysis and research is contained in fact sheets, case studies and web sites designed to assist government procurement personnel, contracting officers, facility engineers and energy managers with properly selecting, installing and operating efficient products.
Prior to joining LBNL, Don worked for utility companies in southern California implementing energy efficiency and water conservation programs for residential and small business customers. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural technology and Masters degree in architecture.
