Cindy Regnier, P.E., P.Eng., LEED AP is Group Leader for Commercial Building Systems at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in the U.S., and Executive Manager for FLEXLAB, the U.S. Department of Energy’s newest building technologies testing facility – the Facility for Low Energy Experiments in Buildings. FLEXLAB is a series of testbeds focused on low energy integrated systems, building technologies and controls research. She also manages the Commercial Buildings Partnerships Program overseeing technical assistance for deep, low energy projects, and manages a project to develop tools for small commercial deployed through a community scale approach, the 2030 Districts. She has 13+ years of engineering design experience on integrated HVAC design for innovative projects, including an AIA COTE Top 10, several LEED Platinum buildings, and a 200,000sf carbon neutral science museum. She has been at LBNL since 2009. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Mathematics and Engineering, with a specialty in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada.
