Craig Roussac is Director and CEO of Buildings Alive, an Australian-based firm that currently provides daily automated energy and water efficiency feedback to operators of approximately 100 commercial office buildings, retail shopping centers and hospitals (~25 million sq. ft). He co-founded Buildings Alive in November 2012 to expand the scope of his research on energy efficiency feedback conducted as a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney (anticipated completion 2014). He is visiting LBNL and the Center for the Built Environment at UC Berkeley until the end of August on a Fulbright Scholarship. Prior to Buildings Alive, Craig was General Manager of Sustainability, Safety and Environment for Investa Property Group, an Australian REIT which held the highest rating on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), and prior to that he was a site engineer with Lend Lease. He is the co-inventor of two pending patents related to methods for energy modelling of buildings and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (ANU), a Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics (Hons) (Canberra) and a Grad Dip in Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA).
