Infosys develops three million sqft of high performing green buildings/campus each year.  The Green Initiatives team is driving the design of the next generation of high performance smart buildings and campuses for Infosys.   In the short period of three years the team has achieved a 2X improvement in energy efficiency of new buildings over FY 08 benchmark levels.  Infosys has got a platinum certification for three buildings and ten more buildings are in the pipeline to achieve platinum certification. Infosys has setup a dedicated team to carry out efficiency related retrofits across the 25 million sqft of floor space it owns across various campuses in India. In the last three years the team has managed to reduce the per capita energy consumption by 25%. The talk is going to cover how Infosys approached the sustainability challenge, what were the key drivers, and some of the lessons learnt. During this talk I will share a data points on the improvements that Infosys was able to drive in new building design and in deep green retrofits.
