Seminar Host/Point of Contact:

As part of the LBNL CC 2.0 initiative, EETD is in the process of creating an Institute to deploy transformative technologies for global human development. This Institute is an ambitious effort to bring technology-enabled solutions to developing world problems.   The mission of the Institute is to create low-carbon pathways to prosperity by enabling, developing and accelerating the supply of breakthrough, relevant and sustainable solutions to the major developing world problems, and by leveraging LBNL’s scientific muscle. Another important mission is to foster a new generation of research[ers] at LBNL, focused on technologies for the developing world, equipped with world-class training as well as cultural intelligence.    In this presentation we will provide a status update of the Institute’s formation and invite you to come interact with us about your previous experiences in this arena and ideate about possible future projects. A recording of this seminar is available at http://vimeo.com/37759815.
