Labs Extend Deadline for Commercial Building Partnerships

May 3, 2010

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is extending the deadline to submit Commercial Building Partnerships (CBP) call for projects applications until 12 p.m. (noon) Eastern time on May 28, 2010.

Through CBP, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory personnel and private sector technical experts are helping building owners and operators:

  • cut the energy use in their buildings—30% or more for existing buildings, and 50% or more for new construction
  • investigate portfolio-wide energy efficiency measures that might be difficult or expensive to assess and implement without lab assistance—DOE provides the services of its lab personnel and private sector technical experts at no cost to participants
  • validate the efficacy of energy saving strategies—the labs will measure building operation and document performance in technical and business case studies.

Join the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for a webinar on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 12 p.m. (noon) Eastern time to learn about participating in Commercial Building Partnerships and to ask questions.
