NH3 Flux Measurements
We are measuring emissions and deposition of ammonia at sites with low
to moderate fluxes (~ 10-100 ng m-2 s-1) using the eddy covariance technique. To accomplish the measurements, we
developed an automated instrument to measure. The instrument combines a QCL spectrometer
(Aerodyne Res. Inc.) with a heated fast response inlet system,
automated calibration system, sonic anemometer, and infrared gas
analyzer for complementary measurements of CO2 and H2O
fluxes.
A paper describing the instrument and measurements of NH3 at
a low background site in the Sierra Nevada, CA,
