To promote the widespread adoption of energy management best practices
and the most energy-efficient cost-effective technologies, Berkeley
Lab works to create cross-cutting partnerships with industrial market
stakeholders. Partnerships are developed with trade and professional
associations, manufacturers, distributors, consultants, state research
and development groups, and international organizations. The objective
is to provide convenient access for industrial firms to the best
possible technical information on energy-efficiency by working with
companies and organizations that have existing relationships with
these firms. Our primary focus is on the optimization of cross-cutting
Industrial Systems
such as: motors, drives, pumps, compressed air, fans, steam and
process heating.
Industrial partnerships provide an opportunity for highly skilled
and specialized individuals who serve industrial markets to work
with Berkeley Lab, the US Department of Energy (DOE), and other
organizations to develop a rich and diverse body of technical information
that is accurate and unbiased. The process of developing educational
material also creates an environment in which the partnering organizations
can form new alliances that expand their effectiveness in reaching
industrial markets.
Industrial partnerships organized by Berkeley Lab staff
have resulted in various collaborative activities
and publications.
