Mark Bolinger is a principal research associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group, where his work focuses on renewable energy economics, policies and programs, and markets. Recent work includes an analysis of the risk-mitigation benefits of renewable power, an assessment of lessons learned from state programs to support photovoltaics, and an in-depth look at community-owned wind power development in the United States. Mark holds a B.A. in History and Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to pursuing his Masters degree and working at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Mark spent eight years as a research and trading analyst with an institutional investment management firm.
