Ranjit Bharvirkar is a Senior Research Associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy group at the Berkeley Lab. His current work focuses primarily on demand response programs. Prior to joining Berkeley Lab, he worked as a Senior Research Assistant in the Quality of Environment group at Resources for the Future (a non-profit think-tank in Washington D.C.). His work t here focussed on modeling of the U.S. electricity market and analyzing the effect of various environmental policies on it. He is pursuing a Master of Public Policy degree at the UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy. He has an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University and a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
