Ryan Firestone is a graduate student research assistant in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group, where his research focuses on the economics of distributed energy resources selection and operation. He is a doctoral student in mechanical engineering at the University of California at Berkeley. He has a B.S.in mechanical engineering from Brown University and an M.S. from the University of Texas, El Paso, where he did research on small variable speed wind turbines.
