Kristina Hamachi LaCommare is a principal research associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group. She primarily works with the Energy Information Administration's National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) in assessing various forecast scenarios for proposed appliance standards. She received her M.S. in Atmospheric Science at the University of California, Davis. Recent work has focused on using NEMS to model green market scenarios and improving how distributed energy resource (DER) technologies are represented in NEMS.
