David Lorenzetti studies methods for solving whole-building airflow and pollutant transport problems, and applications of building airflow models to issues
of life-safety in buildings. His interest in buildings began with questions of energy conservation.
David has a Ph.D. in Building Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently holds a Mechanical Engineer position in the Airflow and
Pollutant Transport Group, where he has worked since 1999. Before coming to LBNL, he worked in the
Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
