Supply and Demand in Competitive Retail Electricity Services Markets

Electricity industry restructuring is introducing new opportunities for customers to express their preferences for commodity electricity and value-added services. Lawrence Berkeley National Lab research is designed to explore the costs and benefits to non-residential customers of these new-found choices and to investigate supplier strategies to meet customer demand and to develop profitable business strategies in newly-competitive markets. In particular, this research examines services thought to provide significant public benefits, including energy efficiency, green power, and distributed generation.
