I work for Mary Ann Piette in the Commercial Buildings System Group in the Building Technologies Department in the Environmental Energy Technologies Division at Ernest Orlando Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Current Projects
CIEE Diagnostics Project. This project, sponsored by the California Institute for Energy Efficiency (CIEE), is a collaboratory effort to measure energy savings gained through increased monitoring and advanced information systems for building operators.

Building Energy  Benchmarking.  Part of the High Performance Commercial Building Systems project, funded by the California Energy Commission PIER (Public Interest Energy Research) program.  The objective of this task is to develop and deploy a web-based benchmarking tool for California buildings, and develop techniques to allow commercial building owners, managers, and operators to have access to relevant energy benchmarking tools and data sets.

GEMNet.  We are working with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Pacific Rim Division, and others on a regional Internet-based network that will reduce operational costs, improve energy efficiency, and reduce peak demand.
