ALAN MEIER
Reports are available in up to three formats.
Some reports are formatted in html, that is, you can see them
right on the screen. The other two formats require the file to
be downloaded. This usually
means that the formatting is too complicated and that they include
figures. Macintosh users can simply select the document and it
will automatically download. I think that the same will happen
for DOS victims, but I can't promise.
In the future I will also offer adobe acrobat format because that appears
to be the most portable.
- "The Status of Demand-Side Management in the United
States." ( Macintosh )
( DOS ).
- "How to Review a Technical Paper." ( html )
- "You Can't Find These Leaks With a Blower Door"
(aka "Leaking Electricity") (Rainer,
L., A. Meier, and S. Greenberg) html
- "Non-Intrusive Submetering of Residential Gas Appliances" (Yamagami, Nakamura and Meier). html
- "Toward More Efficient Use of Energy Through Demand-Side Management" . html
This title is misleading; it should be "The conceptual basis for consuming less energy". (July 96)
- "Energy Test Procedures for Appliances" (with J. Hill). html
-
"Results from the investigations on leaking electricity in the USA"
html
-
"The Next Generation of Energy Test Procedures". html . Presented at the First International Conference on Energy Efficiency in Household Appliances, Florence, Italy. 10-12 November 1997.
-
"Energy Test Procedures for the 21st Century". html . To be presented at the Appliance Manufacturer Conference and Expo, October 12-14, 1998. This is by far the most readable argument that I have made about the need to revise energy test procedures for appliances.
